Florida School Tours offers complete field trip services
to enhance the educational experience of students studying Florida
History. We design a field trip
around Florida's Sunshine State Standards to meet the needs of
the students, as well as the teachers. We can build a school tour
package that meets your needs. Your complete satisfaction and repeat
business is our goal. Although the majority of our bookings relate to
the study of Florida History by 4th and 5th grade students, St.
Augustine is rich in many diverse areas that will still correlate with
the Sunshine State Standards for older students too. Middle
School and High School teachers can design your own unique site
itinerary to meet the needs of your classes whether the class is
studying Florida History, U.S. History (before 1880), U.S. History (after 1880), Economics, or Geography. Or, we can still
tailor a program for you.|
We will be happy to advise you of which educational sites,
museums will be most appropriate for your students to address
your curriculum needs and the Sunshine State Standards.
With basic pre-planning information such as preferred dates and
number of participants, we will suggest which sites are available to
meet your needs.
Florida School Tours is owned and
managed by educators. As educators, we realize the challenges
involved in finding the time in an already packed school day or the
short window of time available at the end of the school day to make
numerous exploratory calls to seek information. Juggling available
time and creating a usable schedule is another challenge in itself.
Our job is to take away that stress and make the St. Augustine
experience enjoyable and worry free so educators can do what they do
best...teach. Knowing how pressed for time it can be during the
school day, we
are available in the evenings. Contact one of our our knowledgeable
staff at your convenience by phone, e-mail or internet web form,
tell us your needs, and we will work diligently to develop a St.
Augustine itinerary customized
just for you. We will E-mail or
fax you a field trip confirmation and all other additional
information so that you can review everything at your convenience,
prior to finalizing your booking.
some teachers spend hours and hours looking for information about
St. Augustine to use with their students. At Florida School Tours,
we have already done it all for you. Whether you are elementary,
middle or high school, we have built a site that has document
downloads, navigational links to virtual tours and historical
information as well as numerous WebQuest where you can integrate
technology and research into your studies. Weeks before
the trip, when we have confirmed your reservation, we provide our
access to our own website pages complete with links to hundreds of
and post trip activities and other
materials. You can download as much or as little as you like
so you can customize your instruction to the needs of your students.
We want to help make your St. Augustine experience more than
just a field trip.

Colonial Quest Tour engages your students with some of the most
significant and inspiring historical landmarks and museums in St.
Augustine. The tour is designed to link students’ classroom
re-created, but authentic first-hand history experiences. The
program includes specialty visits to the 17th century Castillo de San Marcos
(The "Old Fort"), the restored homes and buildings of the Colonial
Spanish Quarter (representative of the late 1700-1800’s), the Old
Florida Museum Museum, and the St. Augustine Lighthouse or a fully
narrated trolley-style tour of historic St. Augustine. The trolley-style
tour provides a visual connection with historic places of interest
such as Florida’s first
successful mission, Nombre de Dios, Henry Flagler’s magnificent Ponce
de Leon Hotel, and the Fountain of Youth. The trolley will also take

Memorial Church, which were architectural marvels of the time as
